A functional corollary of Lusin's separation theorem
Lusin's theorem states that if a coanalytic set includes an analytic set, then there is always a Borel set sandwiched between the two. A similar result holds for functions: if a lower semi-analytic function dominates an upper semi-analytic function, then there is a Borel function sandwiched between the two.
